Your policy suggestion
Can you directly influence the policy position of the Liberals, Labor or the Greens? Or on the other hand you might say “why should I bother submitting my policy suggestion on taxpayers.net.au, they aren’t exactly advertising in the mainstream papers every day.”
That is true, but this website is attracting new visitors every day who are spending a couple of minutes looking through the various pages. That means your policy idea could gain exposure and support. And if you add a direct link to TTP then you will help increase the number of new visitors each day who are then exposed to your suggestion!
The Assumptions
- You are intelligent
- Your time is valuable
- The tax you pay is for the common good of all Australians
Why should you interact with taxpayers.net.au?
There is a ‘things to-do’ section on most pages. The list of things to-do is intended to move us toward achieving the goal for that portfolio area. If you have a pragmatic suggestion of something that should be added or changed on the list of things to-do, then you have a reason to communicate! You are equally free to suggest or argue for specific goals to be placed on each page.
All suggestions via email are recorded, and the better the rationale for the suggestion the higher the chance it can be added to the ‘to-do list’ for that area (examples and/or references and links are useful too!). If your suggestion is added it will be mentioned in the blog (you can request to remain anonymous if it suits you).
Lastly and most importantly, one of the intentions behind this website is to create the opportunity for you to feel free to dream about what you would do if you had the power. What one change in the world would give you the most fulfillment? Even if you cannot articulate that desire into a concrete “to-do” list or measurable goal, we would love to hear your suggestion!
